The primary funding goal of the Nootka PAC is to maintain and implement programs for Nootka students. Every year, the Vancouver School Board allocates a set amount of funds to each school. These district funds are significantly less than what is necessary for a school to flourish. In order for Nootka School to operate at its current level, funds must be raised and distributed by the Nootka PAC.

Some things funded by Nootka PAC include:

• Sports equipment
• Library books
• Computers
• First aid kits
• Art projects
• School performances

Decisions regarding fundraising and school programs are discussed and determined at Nootka PAC meetings. All parents of Nootka students are automatically considered Nootka PAC members and are encouraged to attend these meetings.
